I kind of love photographing DIY weddings. There’s so much love and attention to detail! This was especially true of Abby and Kofi’s wedding.
The wedding was at a gazebo in the Whetstone Park of Roses, and the reception was at the Park of Roses shelter house. The event was catered by Olive Garden. They danced to their first song “Yours” by Ella Henderson, DJ’d by the very sweet Millennium Mobile DJ.
Abby & Kofi’s relationship includes four years of long-distance driving to spend time with one another. It’s clear they respect and value each other; their ability to make each other laugh is so uplifting!
One of my personal favorite moments of the wedding was when Kofi’s father stepped forward to bless the couple.
After the ceremony and a couple of group pictures, we sneaked away to Goodale Park and Jeni’s Ice Cream! It was a joy to be surrounded by so much love and laughter. We had a lot of fun dancing to Ghanaian music and merging two awesomely fun families. Congratulations, you two!
